入境處確認失聯的亞航客機上，有一名乘客持有外國護照同時擁有香港居民身份。入境處已與相關領事館聯絡，確認當事人於海外的家屬已得到有關方面的協助，而入境處至今並未接獲港人求助。
入境處表示，會繼續與有關方面保持密切聯繫，留意事態發展。
據了解，該名男乘客48歲，名字是蔡志文。

It also shows a weakness of the design of Airbus's side stick controls, which the same thing won't happen in Boeing flight which is using yuke. (start 4:10 of the below video)
