The Hardware Encryption Function is preferred for some of the sensitive data.
Hence, based on this and the above, I should select the DS214+.
Once again, thank you for your professional advice and bringing out the important points for me to consider.

Agreed, I read other place review seems play version faster as media server, and + version slower on media related work. However, your usage seems not related to media files, so agreed with the + version.
我最近都要setup一個nas 比3人workgroup upload report 同做個share folder
e個combo 真係唔錯又平,但3T RED怕唔怕會慢?
I am now using 3TB x 2 (RAID1) with HDD of WD Red / WD Black / WD RE for 3 units of NAS at my home.
They (QNAP & Synology 2-Bay NAS) are all working fine for speed and reliability.

WD Black - 5 Years Warranty

I believe if you want slightly higher performance, you may consider WD Red Pro

However, with only 3 to 4 persons sharing the files, I do not think it is necessary.
WD Red designed for NAS (1-8 Bays) of home and small office and so it can certainly do the job.
WD Red Pro is designed for NAS (8-16 Bays) of Soho and medium to large office.
