一隻好凸别嘅CD，因为佢好似一本書，正如制作人在back cover 加的副題"The sound story about the Paris of the East in 1930s and 1940s"
每一cut音樂其實刀在描绘當時上海的不同角落，當中有小女孩清唱，配樂竟然係三姑嘅麻将聲，有時係一個小酒吧埋面鋼琴，夾雜着背景声 (好似爵士當舖,而錄音不會比它差)，又有好幾首正正經經冇背景声嘅中樂，一時又會係西歐音樂，然后又有一些Jewish music (我估當時上海有不少Jew)，一時又廟中嘅鐘鼓 (試音一流)，一個唔角以去左黄埔江邊聽着氣笛声＋汽車声，又用一首十面埋伏来代表日本仔打到泥......
呢隻CD跟本就係一隻錄音好靚嘅audio book.
